i woke up this morning to a frightening start. as i sat up i was in excruciating pain in the middle of my back. what the hell has happened, it keeps twinging, it kills when i twist and i cant lift heavy things, not even a full kettle. normally i hear about lower back problems. what on earth has caused it and how can i get some relief, please help me!!!
I had the same thing happen to me once - was in agony and when I eventually went to the doctors - turned out I had a kidney infection! May be you should get yourself to the doctors..........?
know wot u thinking, did wonder if it was pleurisy but doesnt really hurt too much, hurts a bit when i breath in where muscles are tensing in back i think, doesnt hurt on the front. ive had a few kidney infections and know you shiver and go hot with that but dont have that so not sure, it feels more like a spasm thing but cant be sure.
getting even more worried now you have said doctor, we have moved to a new area which is over an hour from our old doctor, havent registered with a new doctor yet so what should i do should it be serious and i cant travel to my old one??!!
red, is correct as usual ! your local g p should see you on a temporary basis until you register, have you tried some heat ie maybe a hot water bottle ?
Pinched nerves in the back can be excruciating. I've had it and was on pain killers and in physical therapy for a month. First they would ice my back then they would use moist heat then a traction device to stretch out my spine to release the nerves. I couldn't lean back not even an inch. I could lean forward slightly, but mostly any movement was breathtakingly
painful. What helped me keep for having a relapse was a new mattress, worked wonders. also lying in a fetal position on my side or back(bringing knees up to your chest) for awhile helped release pinched nerves. Best to see a dr to diagnose you correctly.
First ice to take down any internal swelling then moist heat to relax the muscles and stuff then try fetal position. Take it easy, hope all is well soon.
