How can i stop my cat going to the tiolet inside. She is nine months old and only does it about once a week but i was wondering if anyone had any advice about how she might stop. I let her out every night so she can go and she usually lets you know when she needs to go out but its getting more regular, and soon my cream carpet could turn another colour, any suggestions would be appriciated, thanks.

it you start to feed her where she has pooped its supposed to stop them from pooping there again, but that doesn't mean she won't find somewhere else in the house to go. I have 7 cats one of which has started going places she shouldn't in her old age and the only way to overcome it is to put her out more often
Is a cat-flap out of the question?

yes, we have a lot of other cats around our area and they would be constantly in and out, they already come straight in if you leave the back door open.
Try putting a litter tray down. It is easier to clean than a carpet!
