Good luck with the operation - I had the same op. by keyhole surgery a few years back and it was fine. It was a last resort for me too but the recovery time is shorter and you should be a lot more mobile than if you had the traditional surgery. What you have to remember though is that although you might feel okay (You will only have 3 or 4 small "puncture" wounds as opposed to a large scar) it is still a major op. and your insides will need time to recover. As for the anaesthetic I have much the same problem - I had a minor op before the hysterectomy which made me really ill but I told the anaesthetist and they can give you something to counteract the nausea. I was okay after the hysterectomy and have had an op. since and was sick despite the medication but it was not nearly so bad.
