wiring up a bathroom extractor fan

does anyone know how to do this ?
i want to connect it to my lighting circuit
fan has a transformer and a timer
do you use a junction box to connect into the existing light circuit ?

I strongly suggest you to investigate Part P of the Building Regs before you do anything.
Hi there rachelsdad..

Right if your extractor has a timer it will need both a switched and permanant live, neutral and earth this can be obtained from the ceiling rose in the light fitting, if its just a on off fan thisjust needs a switch live, neutral and earth, before comencing any work man, switch off the 6amp breaker off, easy job but any doubt, let me know I'll give you a price...
