Who has covered 'Love Song' by The Cure? Swear I have heard a version where a girl with a really nice voice sings it.

I can't offhand remember a version by a girl singer, but I saw a guy on american Idol cover it, and his version apparently copies another band's version. I found this -

Originally a hit for the Cure back in the 80's. Despite the words of Ryan Seacrest and Blake Lewis himself referencing the Cure, the primary influence is definitively the modern rock hit version of "Love Song" released just 3 years back by alt-rock band 311.

It has also been covered by the bands Korn, Anberlin, A Perfect Circle, Tool, Angry Johnny And The Killbillies, The Deluxtone Rockets, Jack Off Jill, Snake River Conspiracy, Ira Losco, Death Cab for Cutie and Voltaire. Solo artists have performed covers as well, such as singer-songwriter Tori Amos and Blake Lewis during the sixth season of American Idol.

lol American Idol was what reminded me of it actually! Yeah I like the 311 version :) APC not what I'm looking for, but I am aware they covered it. Now thinking some lyrics might have featured in a Jack off Jill song and that might be what I'm thinking of.. now trawling through my music collection to find it!
