Men want more time with the family
3 Answers
Bring the family breadwinner was once a role proudly held by the male of the family. Women would do the housework and look after their husband's and children. Nowadays the picture is very different. Men share the responsibilities that come with having a home and a family. The survey carried out by men's magazine FHM found that men wanted a 50/50 role with their partner sharing work, housework and childcare, but four out of ten felt under pressure to earn enough money so their wives could be full-time mothers. What do you think? Would you be willing to work all the hours under the sun so your wife could be a full-time mother? If you are a woman do you like the thought of being totally reliant on a man for all your money?

I dont have an issue with that, and neither does my wife.
She is not a paid employee who has to sit at home and feed the baby then do the housework and cook my tea before I get home. So your analogy that men wish to share (although this is in effect women sharing too) is quite correct and I do, although I dont buy nor read FHM.
I am fortunate that I do not have to work all the hours under the sun but to do so would be counter-productive to having a wife or a family, since by the very nature of the expression you would never see them or enjoy life with them. If the situation was different, my wife would probably go to work (her choice) and we would try to reduce outgoings or as a very last gesture, sell the Vanquish.
