Does anyone else get cross about spelling mistakes in answers being picked up on by those replying? I think it is rude and insensitive. People genuinely want answers not sarcastic comments. Lots of people are bad spellers - it has nothing to do with intelligence. Perhaps I am over sensitive as I have a dyslexic son, but I would not dream of picking people up over their spelling or grammar. It it serves to do is put genuine people off using AB. This might be a job for school teachers but not for people on AB
Spelling mistakes are human error and understandable. Laziness is different. I cud do sumink like dis an even doe u undrstan itits rubish innit? Spelling mistakes, we all make and there is no need to correct them on a site such as this. It should not be confused with laziness.
Glad I posted this question, I have had some good laughs. Thanks, everybody for your comments and Philtaz in particular!
Yes, Sylviak it's really nice to have some AB friends - much better than watching tele in the evening (or should I say, watching Mr Anniekon snoring in front of the tele!)
I totally agree with you anniekon i printed a question on another sight and instead of a answer i was picked up for my spelling and grammer so a innocent question made me feel so stupid all day untill i realised that thats probably how they get there kicks trying to belittle people,at the end of the day if you get your question across and people undrestand what your saying they dont have to be so rude in there answers.I too have a son with dyslesic and has bad as my grammer and spelling is he understands that we will get through this together.thanks anniekon.
