PC shuts down when playing games ?

Sometimes when I play games on my pc it just shuts off and reboots.The pc is more than capable of running the games so im at a loss why this should happen.
Can anyone help ?

It is getting too hot

thanks but it instantly reboots rather than switching off completely, like someone has pressed the reset button.surely it would still be too hot ?

I know this is weird but this used to happen to me on a specific page on EBay, and I tested it on several occasions, don't ask me how!!

It just cut out and restarted. page no longer there so I cant test it now!!

This problem kept happening to me,as soon as my wife played a game it would restart & the fan would be on all the time and when i touched the case at the back by the power input it was really hot.
It turned out that the fan on the power supply wasn't working and it was over heating,so i changed the power supply to a 550 watt and i haven't had a problem since and case is nice and cool.........................

I would agree that the power supply is not good enough.
Get a quality PSU. If this doesnt work then take out the memory, carefull not to touch the contacts and clean them with a pen eraser and reposition.

Boot up into the bios and check to see if there is a hardware monitor and checkout the voltages and temperature to see if this also is a problem.
