i received a speeding fine and replied denying the offence i then received a copy of the picture taken (which is clearly me) but i realised the camera is actually on the other side of the road which is probably why i didnt reduce my speed. 37 in a 30 by the way..
So my question is - is it right that a camera on the other side of the road can get you??
thanks

to be fair tubeway you have no way of knowing what time of day or what type of road splatt was caught speeding on. for example, on my way to work at 5.30 each morning when there is hardly any other traffic on the road, i travel along a section of duel carriageway through town which has a 30mph speed limit. i could,if i wanted, hit 60mph no trouble as there are no roads off of the carraigeway. obviously i don't but to assume that he hit 37, in town, at peak time, or rush hour is a bit of a presumption. i think splatt's question has been answered early on and he is wiser for asking.
