i layed a new turf lawn last july now it is dying due to crane fly eggs eating it. how do i get rid of them without ripping the lawn up and starting again? also the edges of the lawn have no grass does anyone know if i sow it will it grow back or as it was turf i will need to replace it thank you.

Hi hurstyboy, It will be the cranr fly larvae aka as leather jackets causing the bare patches by eating the roots, all you can do is patch it up with some healthy turf or dig out and reseed.
As far as I know there is not any treatment to control leather jackets. All the Beest Tbird+
