I really can't see how anyone can be proud to have a dog like the 'real hercules' as pictures on the snopes page.

Is it not time that people with grossly overweight dogs (or any pet) leave themselves open to fines for mistreating an animal?

Thanks for the replies, we have one of these a few doors away, not as big as this one though, funnily enough, its owner looks just like it, big with floppy jowls, always makes me smile when I see them.
