How many mosquito bites can the body sustain before your blood actually runs out or you actually turn into a mosquito from being mauled so much?
I think I may have set a new World Record.

The human body contains on average around 10 pints, or about 5.76 litres of blood.
1 litre = 1,000 ml so.assuming that a person would die after losing around 4 pints of blood we have.
10 pints = 5.76 litres so 4 pints = 2.72 litres
2.72 litres = 2,720 ml, so at an average of 0.0055 ml per empty/hungry (female) mossie, it would take about 494,545 to suck you to death and 1,047,273 to suck you dry, but only one or two to drive you mad (itching).

The Japanese believe that being reincarnated as a mosquito is the punishment for living a criminal life.
The World Mosquito Killing Championships (WMKC) is an annual event in Pelkosenniemi, Finland. The object (obviously) is to kill as many mosquitoes as possible by hand in five minutes; no machines or chemicals allowed. The holder of the World and Guinness record for mosquito killing is one Henri Pellonpaa, for killing 21 at the 1995 championship. This broke the previous record of just seven.

Well I suppose it's better than having, say, a shark nibbling on you.
Aside from the mosquito bites, mild sunstroke and traveller's diarrhoea (supposedly from eating all the salads) it was a really good holiday!! It was very chilled out and there was a lot of laughter. I don't feel like I achieved very much but I think we all set out to do as little as possible so that's probably why. And our room was stunning!
I went with Sarah (a.k.a. 'Seza'), Julian (a.k.a. 'Lord Fauntleroy' or 'Elsie') and Sian (a.k.a. 'Sian el Sheikh' or 'Cyan') and they were all brilliant fun. :o)
