blue screen problem

Hi all,
can anyone please help me with a problem,
i am having, with my computer,
when i finish a session on my computer, and i am waiting for replies to emails, after about 15 mins
my screen goes dark, then if i click my mouse, a blue
screen appears saying user, i then have to click on
user to get my page back. have i done something to
cause this, as it has not always done this.
any help appreciated.

It sounds like it could be a power saving option. When you move the mouse you are waking it from the power save.
You haven't mentioned which operating system you are using. Assuming XP, right-click a clear area of the desktop ans choose Properties.
Click the screen saver tab
Perhaps you have selected the "Blank" screen saver.
Is there a check in the box "On resume, password protect"?
Click the Power button on the same tab.
Have you selected "15 minutes" fro the "Turn off Monitor" option?
