Anyone know a retailer who stocks tuna in OLIVE OIL?
-Don't understand why that option disappeared from the likes of Asda (not that you can expect to find tha same product twice in their stores...! )

Seen in both Tesco and Sainsbury's as I picked some up by mistake a while back. (I was after the one in brine!) Have to say I've not looked recently, but seem to recall that it was either John West or Princes.
Only seem to see sunflower oil these days and asdas still have that in also morrisons, afraid I cannot tell you why
Maybe because people are more health consious these days and don't want anything tinned in oil? I don't actually know, just a guess. Personally I only buy Tuna tinned in brine or at a push, spring water.
The olive oil is my preference also. The one I get that is rather nice and I can vouch for is from Atun. Can usually find it in specialist deli's or food stores. Haven't seen any tuna in Olive Oil in a supermarket for years and I would even be surprised if John West still did it.
I think there has been a decline of sales of tuna in oil compared to spring water/brine. I think they now use sunflower oil as it is much cheaper than olive oil.
The olive oil version is the most popular one in European countries. Personally I can do with sunflower oil tuna but find the tuna in brine absolutely revolting but hey, Brits love it! Insane.
