Sorry if category wrong, my wife and i are thinking we might like a camping holiday in England. Before we buy all the usual equipment we want to see if it really is for us. Can anybody recommend a site where tents are supplied and already erected so we can try this type of holiday please. Any comments from avid campers most welcome, thnkyou.
How about wild camping for a few days in the mountains, your bodies will have had a real holiday - no stress, fantastic scenery, all your senses will increase, you will use your brains for navigation and use lots of common sense and keep fit. I can highly recommend it. Make sure you stay safe. Buy trail magazine for ideas, routes etc.
I personally wouldn't go Quiet Man's way - when we go, we go with lots of luxuries - loo, fridge, sometimes even laptop! Don't get me wrong, we still enjoy walking and reading, but I also like to have a nice sleep on a decent air mattress etc.
If you go to the above site, you will get plenty of good advice and details of campsites.
Haven't stayed here, so don't take this as a recommendation, but I saved this link a while ago when we were thinking of going to cornwall. This place provides the same kind of tents that you get when you go abroad to a eurocamps type of place, it might be worth a look - p.s. is you book see if you can get me some commision. lol.
