wee on carpet

my 14 yr old dacshund has started to wee in the same place on the carpet, he is not ill in fact is more lively than ever. could it be because we moved house just 2 weeks ago? he is acting normally apart from this how can i stop it?

probably down to the stress of moving house - due to his age though I may be inclined to have him checked out at vets to make sure it isnt anything else. Make sure you use a good odour neutraliser when cleaning the carpet so he doesnt keep going back to leave his scent in the same place.
you don't say if carpet is new or not - just a thought - if carpet left in house you bought he could possibly be marking his territory over the prevous dog's scent ?
sprinkle ground white pepper on the spot that should stop him ****** there
When he wee's tell him off. Or place his dog basket in the place of the wee patch which he will then think oh i can't wee there nemur and maybe do it outside ????

Can you keep a disposable doggie pad there until you get him re-trained?
