hi all im new here
and wanted to know where do you of those who have a number of dogs keep them at night, or when you want a bit of time to yourself to do house work etc.
so not to get under your feet.
I have so far a jack russle, a westie and a yorkie, but also thinking of having another 3 yorkies, in which i shall be breeding, NOT BYB I might add ,
but live in home with us all as a family and be cherrished and spoilt , but wanted to know as having so many doggies where to put them at bed time and quiet time , please any suggestions will be appriciated.
At moment i have lilly (westie) sleeping on my bed , molly ( yorkie on amy's my daughter bed ) and charlie allways sleeps in harry my sons bed , i only have billy's bed and matty's bed left lol but would rather them all sleep together ? was thinking of making some kind of doggie bed room what do you think , NOT OUTSIDE IN A KENNLE , so please dont sugest that to me thanks in advance for any advise .

We got a collie recently and she sleeps in her cage in the kitchen every night, but our staffie-cross sleeps on the bed. We only put her in there while we were house-training her, but now the arrangement is permenant.
try a big cage made all cozy for them. You can choose to shut the door or simply use it as a doggie bedroom where they can feel comfy and safe with the door open. I agree the new ones may have to use this and the others may be reluctant to cahnge but there is no reason why the new ones should not sleep serarately. they will simply live by the rules you set from day one. Sorry though but I am one of those horrid people who make mine sleep outdoors in a kennel. They never object to going out and often sleep in the open instead of their cozy dog house. However i would not suggest it for a yorkie.
