mouse?

my daughters was on the computer this morning, I don't know what she did but now my mouse wont scroll down a page. When you move the wheel, nothing happens.
Does anyone know what she might of 'clicked' and how I can get it back?

OK I don't know what just happened, but after I posted the above question the mouse started working properly!!

Could of been a Gremlin, or is that just the power of AnswerBank!!!

If it was a ball mouse it may just need cleaning.
Give the underside plate a half turn and let the ball drop out.
Use a cotton bud or cocktail stick to remove the general trash that will have built up.

If it is a corded optical mouse gently wipe the underside face plate with a damp cloth, NEVER use nail polish remover or similar substance.

If it is a wireless optical mouse check the batteries as they may be on the way out.
