Depending on type of workout you can burn between 250 and 500 calories. A bit like walking really fast for an hour. So its not amazing for your cardio workout. THe differnece to just walking is its excellent for the muscles round your tummy and flanks, so I suppose if you are toning and building a little more muscle that will help you burn more fat.
