Go into the router setup and try a different channel.

If you are using a third party utility to connect to your wireless network, try disabling it and using windows own facility.

If you have got security set on your wireless connection, try removing it and experiment with security settings.

Also, if you have a software firewall running, e.g Mcafee or Norton, try disabling it.
Didn't you say the other day that this is actually your neighbours wifi that you are trying to use? If so, you can't amend the router setup.
How I laughed!

Yes he can, cheekychops - if there router admin page has the default passwords.

And then his neighbour will be blocked. Until they press the reset button.

I did exactly that to my neighbour - without realising! The connection was very slow, I entered the admin page thinking it was mine, changed channel, set passwords...

Then my neighbour came round a couple of days later - they couldn't get online, could I help...
Oh yes you can. If you know what you are doing. Also I would imagine that if the wireless network is unprotected then the router password will just be the default one.
Oops, cross post Ethel.
i recommend going to the wireless settings on your router and changing the channel to 11. i also recommend it to supporting 108.11 b AND g
