i dont want a debate on whether they should be illegal or anyone who hasnt taken them to come here and say how vile they are -im looking for people who have taken them to give their opinions on them. im thinking about trying something and i want to know how people feel about them and what they would say to someone trying for first time??

People have taken drugs for centuries and worldwide, and most are perfectly fine, normal members of society -
i myself know a guy who was on smack for 10 years - i had no idea!

i am not denying some drugs are bad news and some people who take them are bad news, but not all!

I know what you mean joko, and I know that not all people that take drugs end up dying in filth, that is the worst case scenario, a lot of people take recreational drugs, that is there choice, and a lot hold down decent jobs, I have never said all drug takers are bad people or they all thieve to feed the addiction, I really just want to get across to people what a dangerous road it is to walk, maybe i am too emotionally involved to be making my views clear, I also realise that drugs have been about for centuries and will never go away, that is life.

Well, further to earlier answers,

I agree with those who say try it - you never know! I imagine that you have already made up your mind anyway (kind of)!

I posted a Q on here last week about cannabis use, and the majority of people (the same ones!) said exactly the same to me as they have to you!

Since then I have tried marijuana (space cakes) and while the experience was neither fab nor awful, I probably would try it again as I did enjoy it!

Like I said the last time, I have no intention of setting up a drugs empire or selling stuff in front of the school gates, I am a responsible adult (not weak or lonely as I was told!), I am a mother, I have a husband, a house and a career - and I wanted to try it, now I have!

Sigh, once again the enlightend discourse on drug use in this country continues. They are controlled substances for a reason, but it's not up to any indiviudal to lecture, persuade or scaremonger you into doing anything.

If you're gonna take em, then take em and make it as safe as you can do but remember there are risks associated with almost everything. I certainly wouldn't recommend it only as a way for you to get closer to your girlfriend and her mates though!

Nor should you feel pressurised into taking anything, your mental state can have as much of an effect on the high as the quality of the drug.

Im a 30 year old with a good job and all my critical faculties. I have taken a number of substances during my mis-spent youth (to this I include alcohol, caffeine and nictotine) and appear not to have travelled a road that leads to robbing grannies or eating from bins.

I enjoy smoking cannabis, it helps me relax in the evenings and weekends.
I don't over indulge so I think its ok.
2 joints a night or a bottle of wine? I think 2 joints.

As for other chemical drugs I do not take them, i use to but I am in 2 miinds, I wouldn't recommend anyone to take them however I think people should experience them at least once.
