Hi! My outdoor impatience are being attacked by a pest. The pest create a small white web underneath the leaves, and eventually the leaves turn white, and fall off the stem. Additionally, there are bugs in the soil. It looks like they are digging deep in the soil and they are coming out and hurting the flowers. They look like fruit flies. There seem to be hundreds of them. I thought it was the soil, but the soil I bought was a good brand. Now I am only left with a few stems of the impatience and thinking that I need to throw all the soil out. Please tell me what I can do. Thanks

Not sure what the pest is but rather than throw the soil away try using Jeyes Fluid as a sterilizer when you've taken the plants out. It's very good for many garden clean up jobs.
