I met a 17 year old girl from a town near where I lived. We were both on holiday, she had recently lost her father due to a heart attack (very quick mercifuly). To cut a long story short, I helped her through her loss, and after a few months, became her first love (I was 29, she was 17, not that that has anything to do with it).. That was in 1990, I went off to fight in the Gulf War and when I came back, we stayed together for a few months before drifting apart. She is now very happily married with a fantastic career, (she has a Phd in Chemistry) and two wonderful children. We stay in touch via email and text, both our spouces know about us and are ok about it. The point is, it's ok to keep memories, but, remember, they are memories and, no matter how strong we felt about each other, they should stay just that.
