Anybody shed any light on setting up a wireless modem/router (Belkin or Netgear) on Talk Talk Broadband. Does it require a particular model or firmware upgrade (or even one of their own)?

If you are expected to use specific hardware, it is usually supplied by the provider, like Sky do, they provide a Netgear router with preset values loaded.

Normally though, you can use any router, you simply need to ensure you have a few key settings as supplied by the provider (multiplexing method, VCI, VPI), and of course a username & password.

Thanks poisy - I have experience of setting up routers as you mentioned. I was wondering if anyone had any hands-on experience of doing the same on Talk Talk and if they'd had any problems..
