what do i do about my partners ex?

i have a partner that i have been with for a year. he has a son that he was seeing regulaly then all of a sudden his ex said he cud no longer see him this went on for 8 months and put my partner through hell. now shes being nice letting him see the boy, ringing him, texting him, and hes falling for it. she said some really nasty things and i was there to pick up the pieces. now hes doing everything she asks and i dont know what to do. its tearing me apart. if i disagree with anything he takes her side. he talks to her on the phone that has nothing to do with the boy and it makes me feel awful, i have tried telling him how i feel but he says he only talks to her for the kids sake. dont know if i should stay in this relationship its really hurting me

was your partner married to his x or does he have parental responsibility?

when i first got together with my fiance he was very much like that it was still a case of she asked him to jump he'd ask how high, she took advantage of him big time in the fact the kids lived with her so she thought she held the key to everything, when the divorce was going through and it was all in black and white he has joint custody and joint residency etc he wouldnt let her run his life anymore.

if your partner doesnt have parental responsibility then i suggest he applies to the courts for it, then when he gets it he wont feel the need to be extra nice and do what he's doing

no he wasent married to her and he just missed out on parental responsibility. for some reason he wont go through the courts and i cant understand why

is he on birth certificate? why would he not want to get parental responsibility of his own child i think that needs to be the question u ask him first of all

yes he is but i have kept on about him going through the courts but he says he will and then never ends up doing it. he even got his solicitor to send him another form to fill out and 3 months down the line he still hasent done them out
