i got my striaghtneres a yr and a half ago form a hairdressers in west sussex and they now don't work and they told me they cant do any thing is there any where i can send them to be repaired

there is some law somewhere stating things have to be fit for thier purpose for 5 yrs after purchase. I know manufacturers offer one year as standard. worth looking into m8. Nothing lasts these days does it !!
r they ghd's? if so send them back to the ghd manufactors and they send a new pair within 2 weeks. excellent service
Sale of Goods Act - goods should last a reasonable amount of time (up to six years but depends on the type of item, price, what a reasonable person would expect, etc etc). You could try quoting this at the shop, but the onus is on you to prove that this is not a reasonable amount of time.
