i have found myself single and everyone i know is hitched up etc and going on hols with boyfriends/girlfriends. What holidays can anyone think of that i may be able to do myself - what's acceptable without looking totally foolish!

Many adventure/activity holidays are geared towards individuals... friend did diving holiday where individual travellers were the norm and that was what everything was geared towards. Idea was that he was there to dive as much as was possible so 'couple time' wasn't really catered for. Although more or less all the folks there were there on their own it wasn't because they were necessarily single, they just weren't there as part of a couple... socialising in the evenings yes, but no singles night or anything.
I'd go more for a holiday in a city where there are lots of hotels catering for people on their own on business so you wouldn't feel foolish dining on your own etc. If you wanted time on a beach you could choose a coastal city.

i like the idea of a coastal city break - i have been to barcelona before but fancy something different. i'll do a bit of research on that - thanks for your advice!

depends what sort of holiday you want, before me and my fiance got together he went to ibiza on an 18 - 30's holiday on his own and loved every minute of it
