Talktalk free broadband
3 Answers
Not sure if I am in the corrrect section. Has anyone had problems getting set up on talktalk free broadband. I joined them in February and was told I would be connected by end of March. Three months later still no free broadband. Mac codes are valid for one month and they have missed the deadline twice. I am now having to provided them with my THIRD mac code. They do not even tell me. I only know it has not been done when my current provider debits me for another month. When I phone them I just get a comment from their customer services that 'it has not been activated'. The last time I got annoyed and the call centre promised to escalate my complaint to someone who would email me with their name and contact details, which of course has not happened. Would it be better if I cancelled my currrent provider and started again with Talktalk as a completely new broadband customer (ie no switching involved)? Does anyone know the name and email address of their managing director?

We are with talktalk, phone and internet package.
I can say that getting connected was a problem but once you are connected it is ok.
We were told different dates for connection and i contacted them many times, each time having to talk to foreign call centres who could not understand me, not me them and you could not get any straight answers out of them!
My advise is to keep chasing them until you are connected!I would not cancel your existing broadband provider before you are connected as you could be without the internet for an indefinite time.

Take my advice, never, never ever go with TalkTalk.
My Broadband kept disconnecting, they said it was down to a underground cable fault. But each time took 6 weeks to get connected again. So I decided to go with another provider. Trouble was TalkTalk would not release my old telephone number so I had to have a new number set up - imagine what chaos that caused.
