No merely a start. Looks are overated - just as long as ones other half doesn't frighten the horses!!. Dont you find that most people are fairly well matched on the looks front anyway. It fascinates me when looking at wedding pics in the local rag how many newly weds are physically alike. We are comfortable looking at someone whose facial features resemble our own. If many of the other important things needed in a successful relationship match - away you go.

my guess, rabbitygirl, is we pick someone who looks not so much like ourselves as like our parents. But no, looks aren't everything; if you want someone who looks like Nicole Kidman/Johnny Depp, you'll be waiting a while.

Still think most of us go for a lookalike but know what you mean jno. Neither my sis nor I married men who looked like Dad but sis didn't have good relationship with Dad and interestingly married twice to much older men. I on the other hand wanted to marry someone just like Dad - ie not conciously with his looks (tho he was very handsome) but to someone who worked hard, could fix anything, didn't disappear to the pub all night. Got a hubby who is all this and we resembled each other - but less so nowadays!!

well looks are usually the first thing that attracts us but they dont matter in the grand scheme of things if people are attracted emotionally.

if you are asking if you should stay or go because of looks then you perhaps dont have any other connection with this person. In which case you can answer that question yourself.
