Is it possible to upgrade my LCD monitor?
I have a USB data cable and CD ROM for my NEC 338 mobile phone. I can install the memory editor from the CD but on running it asks me which port I am connected to, COM Port 1, 2 or 3? But of course I am connected to a USB port.
The "Help & Support" in Xp hardly mentions USB or Com Ports (which are serial ports not USB aren't they?).
When I uninstalled the memory editor and tried to use the Windows Xp installation wizard it found the new device and recognised it as NEC but reported that it could not find the appropriate software automatically, nor even when I had told it the correct CD drive to look in. So much for USB Plug-n-Play, which I have never tried to use before having no other USB devices.
Please can anyone suggest how I can make progress on this without knackering anything?
