For a Smartie point, can I be cheeky and ask if you know which settlement stands at the intersection of Ermine Street and the Fosse Way? Something in my dim and distance tells me that it's Lincoln, but I'm not sure.

The anatomist seems to be Gabriele Falloppio (of fallopian tubes fame!) http://www.bookrags.com/Gabriele_Falloppio
