I suppose there will always be a place for them in your heart, time is the healer so they say. I think when you start to move on and begin dating again, it will make things easier (in the sense you wont be preoccupied thinking about them)

For once here sosad I will be serious and tell you straight there is no easy way or easy route out of doing this.
It has happened to me so many times but trust me we all get over it eventually and we all do survive.
I nearly took my life over my last girlfriend of 10 years when we split up but I have now been with someboddy that I love and respect for nearly 4 years now and we are geting maried next may.
It will take a long time but hey it will be worth it in the end.
Please dont be to sad as it will get better even though it will take a little time.

And this video is just for you even though it may be a little cornie but chantay sings this so much better than gloria.

Hi sosad,

You can't put a time on when you will get over it, it will take as long as it takes, it is like a form of bereavement, but can feel worse at times because they are still alive but not in your life, I haven't got lots of wise words to comfort you ,but ,and iknow everybody says it,it will ge easier but you will hurt for a long time,emotional scars cut very deep, bruises fade far quicker, once you have accepted it is completely over you can start very slowly to rebuild your confidence and you life, might help you to start going to an evening class or finding a new hobby, just make sure you look after yourself, take care, and look forward, "No future in the past", Ray
