Nile cruise
We are thinking about a nile cruise to see the pyramids etc. Whats the best time to go there. I looked on the web and found a site for nile cruises and they are so cheap. I am not sure if flight was included to Luxor, but for 8 days the cheapest was 279 pounds and the dearest 400. Any advice would be most helpful

Prices will probably reflect this - ie highest prices, best weather. But Feb-April and Oct-Nov should be okay, and in fact right through the winter will be okay if you take a jumper for the nights.
Hi sorry to be late answering this post but had family chaos! We went for two weeks in late April last year and paid just over 400 each for 1 week Nile cruise with the excursions and the second week we chose to spend in Hurghada but could equally have stayed in Luxor We booked with Hayes and Jarvis travel flew with first choice and both the boat and the hotel were excellent No problems at all with bad tummies or lack of hygiene etc.got a tour round the boats kitchens where they proudly displayed all their hygiene certificates If you go try to get your tour company to purchase your entry visas in advance so you can buy them from them as you enter the airport it saved us nearly an hour as "our"tour company buses were leaving te airport while lots of people were still standing waiting for their visas the cheapest way of getting your egyptian pounds is via a cash machine preferable Nationwide as they do not charge anything for currency withdrawals anywhere in the world Hope this helps. If you want to visit Cairo don't book with your tour company go to Jolleys Travel walk along the Nile bank past The Winter Palace hotel until you come to the travel agents and you'll find their prices less than half the tour companies ie balloon flight with TC 95 same flight with Jolleys 45
I went on a red Sea Cruise this year and saw. Petra, Cairo, and Luxor. It was a Thomsons it cost 374 and the trips were extra but that was all food, entertainment. It was 1st Class.
An Egyptian advised me to be very careful of the Nile boats they are advertised as 4* but fall well below that mark.
If you are interested go onto cruisedeals.co.uk
Go early or late in the year as it is far too hot.
