I used to get all tingly when I saw my boyfriend and butterflies in the stomach. Doesn't happen with this boyfriend but it's a different kind of love this time. This time it's a feeling that I couldn't live without him. He makes me whole. It's like if we are ever apart I'm missing an arm or something. I can't function normally. I miss him like crazy if I don't see him for a day (the two week holiday was absolute TORTURE!).
Yes, congrats Smudge!
I am completely in love with my husband... sometimes he is just going about normally, and I have a wave of love for him, like whatever mannerism he just displayed was so completely characteristic of him that I just have to go up and give him a kiss. Or I hear him interacting with our son, from the other room, and he's so nice, and funny, that I have to smile and feel a little tingly. We didn't have a "sudden" falling in love... it was a process of months of being friends, learning each others' styles and liking them, and gradually having those personality styles become very endearing, just because they are part of this person that means so much to me. It gradually built, and it's still building - the longer I'm with him, the more wonderful things I notice about him.
In the first starry eyed stages you get all the touchy feeliness and forgetting what you're meant to be doing, not eating etc. Real love is when you know that they will be there for you whatever happens, that what you've got is worth riding out the hard times to keep and that you would die for them to live. Sorry if that's a bit deep but that's what I feel about my husband (sorry if your heads are now in the sick bucket).
