Make a sugar free jelly and add a tin of fruit you can get it in fruit juice . Do a baked apple in the microwave and put a handful of sultanas in the middle . Make sure you split the skin around the middle as they explode !!
Eat normal food in moderation - dont go heavy on the sweetners or you'll end up with dicky tummy, dont go mad on fruit (fructose) just eat normal food but in moderation. A lot of diabetic food is high in fat or sweetners to compensate for the lack of sugar.
Aye, sound advice there almcd007. I was in Tesco's the other day and was offered some *low fat* snack. I asked about the other ingredients, mentioned diabetes and the lassie commented that it was low fat but to "compensate for the lack of taste, it had loads of extra sugar added" (her words....doh!) one just can't win eh ?

Jedsusan - loads of advice can be had from these wonderful people - http://www.diabetes.org.uk/ - check out their recipe section. As theonlyone says, fruit in fruit juice (not syrup) is ok and that baked apple sounds gorgeous to me.
