why is it all the music i like seems to be off TV ads? is it me? do i have a problem? Or are subliminal messages being weaved into the music and transmitted to my subconcious to make me lethargic, relaxed and a happy shopper??!! um, thats not actually my question, i just want to know who the song on the Volks ad is by. But, if anyone DOES care to throw in a conspiracy theory as well....

do you mean the volks diesel add?? I haven't seen it a few days but i think i remember it being..... Mike Oldfield, Tubular Bells. Or if its the Bettle add then its..... Strange And Beautiful by Aqualung. as for the conspiracy theory.... no idea ;) Knifee

It could well be that all the other music you're being exposed to is terrible... boy bands, pop idols and rap-by-numbers. That's not to say that the music in ads is any better, by the way. It's time to explore the great untapped archives of music - have you ever heard the Carter Family? - and to go beyond these shores to where music is still vital and important, not mass-produced consumer product.... try Manu Chao...
