Hi,
This is a question on behalf of a friend of mine...

I am going to have amedical operation, a abdomnoplasty (a tummy tuck) in August of this year.

I want to know when will I be able to start driving again after the operation..Is it the same lengthof time as after a C section, 6 weeks?

Many thanx on behalf of my friend.

Most patients are advised to avoid activities such as work and driving for 10 14 days. Full recovery can take up to six weeks.

I would have thought if the operation is that close, your friend would have asked the surgeon that question by now.
Generally after any big op it is 6 weeks, for insurance purposes, I know this was what it was for my BF after he had a big operation last year, and also for a friend who had a hernia op this year
It might be better to ask "when can I take up exercise again?"
mmm. maybe the surgeon would be able to answer this question ?
