Following on from my posy yesterday about my mate getting flowers, she came round my flat lastnight screaming 'we've got progress' waving a letter in her hand that had been left on her car. It said:

Hi there I hope you like the flowers I sent you. I do like you and I hope that you will like me when I tell you who I am.

You have got a smile that lights me up and your eyes shine like the stars in the night sky. From ?

P.S You can text me if you like on *********** but if you ring I wont answer until we have text for a little while ok.

yes as I said I messaged on my phone so he didnt get her number 'and put I'm very flattered, the flowers were lovely but I've just come out of a serious relationship' thats when he went so have I maybe we can take things slow then be girlfriend and boyfriend
That is my point 4get, he needs to be told outright. Some guys dont get the hint.
Question Author
wasnt a hint though she has just come out of a serious relationship. If she told him outright it would go something like 'I dont like you, we'll never go out and you really freak me out' so much nicer my way
I do agree with Octavious, I think unless you actually say the words, 'it's not going to happen' (or something similar) he will constantly believe he's in with a chance. Saying 'I've just comes out of a serious relationship' is fine but it should be followed with something like,' and I am not interested at all in forming another one.' Otherwise it leave it too open for him to think he is in with a chance once she's got ove the past relationshp.
Question Author
cant we just ignore messages
only thing is - of you ignore the emssages it may result in him coming down to talk to her maybe?
he could just be harmless- very shy etc but,not to freak your friend out, i would be very cautious - you dont want him waiting for her after work or anything to talk to her. Maybe make sure she has people around her as much as possible
Question Author
I think if he messages again I'll tell him straight and let my mate know what I've said. At least she has a week off.
