Cherry Pie
3 Answers
Does anyone have a tried and tested recipe for cherry pie, using fresh cherries? Or alternatively a nice recipe for any pie/cake/pudding using fresh cherries. Thanks!

Additionally, there's a conversion tool to help with the American measures. The only real difference between this and ours is we use 1/2 teaspoon allspice and 1 teaspoon of lemon juice... but those are family preferences... Best of luck!

Make a very quick and easy cherry cheesecake.....
either buy a sweet pastry case or make a biscuit base.
Mix a tub of mascapone with a squirt of honey....i suppose you could add a few drops of kirsch if you have any too.
Place the mascapone/honey mix on top of the base, spreading out nicely.
Put cherries on top of mascapone.
Get some cherry jam, heat it in a saucepan with a couple of tablespoons of water until you get a syrup and then just drizzle over the top of the cherries.
Grate dark chocolate over the top to finnish

This is a lovely recipe, I use it whenever cherries are in season, it says unpitted cherries but I always stone mine as a cracked tooth isn't much fun.
