mobile phone has just died-help!!

i have a samsung e530 mobile phone which has died on me.had charge in it last night,i left it on but this am when i went to it it's dead.have put charger on for a little while but still nothings happening.charger is the sort that lights up red if charging then green when fully charged but lately can be either if you touch it whilst plugged in so could be charger problem...any ideas anyone?

See if you can borrow a battery from a friend who has the same kind of phone? At least then you'll be able to tell if its the phone or the charger thats the problem...
