David Bowie question

Hi, I hope someone can help with this, as I can't find anything definite anywhere:

"In June 1972, in New York, David Bowie presented a copy of his album 'Hunky Dory' to one of his heroes, whose response was to ask one of his assistants, 'Can he use my name without permission? Should he pay us royalties?' Who was this?

a) Lou Reed
b) Bob Dylan
c) Andy Warhol"

Not sure, but my money is on Dylan, purely because Warhol made a living out of nicking people's images and names, so it would be a bit rich to try and sue Bowie for royalties.

I don't know the answer to the above question but I know that Nick Lowe released an album called Bowi in response to Bowies album Low.

Andy Warhol - there is a song on the "Hunky Dory" album called 'Andy Warhol' written as a tribute to him (Bowie was a big fan) so presumeably Warhol's comment was because of the use of his name.

.. Although - now my husband tells me! - there is also a song on the album dedicated to Bob Dylan so it could be him.

Think it was Andy Warhol..As already mentioned above 'Andy Warhol' track on Hunky Dory but I am sure I read somewhere that Warhol said he liked Bowie's shoes...
