Is your son's connection wireless? If it is you can just search for wireless networks and connect to your sons one, but if he has secured the connection, you will need to know what his 'password' is.

If your sons connection is not wireless, you will need to purchase a wireless router and set both PC's up.

If you search the technology section, there are loads of instructions on how to set up a wireless connection.

Thanks for your reply, I have a wireless router, but all the instructions in the booklet are double dutch to me. I'm afraid I'm not up to date with computer technology.
Hi,
In simple terms, with the power off, connect the wireless hub to your sons internet connecton and the hub to the PC. Then boot everything up, all being well the hub should configure itself! Now assuming that the laptop has either a wireless card (plug in or built in) use the provided software to search for a wireless signal from the hub (the default security setting for most hubs is off) and connect to this.

Good Luck

Thank you for your help, I will give it another try. Failing which I think I will throw it out the window.
