I've just done a crossword and the answer to the above clue was ' mouse ' !!

I checked in the back and it was the right answer, did I miss something ??

I have'nt heard that one for a Black-Eye.
But when one pinches one's finger & a little black blood blister appears THAT is called 'A mouse'
But then I'm an old lady & we called things different names way back.then!! Sigh >>
