At the end of the day, if you are unwell and you cannot work you will be signed off and you will not be at work. Because your company has made provision to pay its employers when they are sick but you have used these days up, you will normally be able to receive statutory sick pay, which is about 70 odd per week. Your company may chose to review the situation regarding your periods of absence, particularly if there have been several of them over a period of time and it might decide to terminate your employment on the grounds of capability. There is no hard and fast rule on this - its for the company to decide together with its advisors.
