What is the best sort of equipment to transmit a (EM) wave between the range of 1Hz and 20Khz (or higher)? Are these stand-alone units or are there any available that can be controlled through a computer (USB connection)?

Do you mean an audio wave thorugh the air or down a wire or by other means?

I meant an electromagnetic wave, not a sound wave.
