A friend recently confided in me, but I wish he hadn't as what he told me is very top secret and now I wish I could just forget about it, only I can't.
I'm not about to tell anybody what he told me because I never break a promise but I want to somehow put it out of my mind. Any suggestions as to how I can do that?

Listen and forget everything, forget all the stresses and you'll feel alot better. Post back if you need somthing more powerfull. I can give you one of my own complications.

miffy if your friend confided in you, you are very lucky to have such a trusting friend, of course you can't forget it, but you must put it at the back of your mind, it will take a little while maybe before you can do this, but you must try to, you obviously are concerned by what he told you,but don't beat yourself up over it,and if you need to talk to your friend again about how you feel, good luck, Ray
Hi Miffy - Nice to know you have friends who can trust you with huge secrets. However, it depends on what this latest secret is. If you think it could lead to big trouble - i.e. with the law - then you need to confide in an adult, or at least explain to your friend how bothered you are by this. If it just feels like a huge burden to carry around, and won't hurt anyone, try and put it to the back of your mind, because some secrets are meant to stay there. Hope that helps.
There's a website called 'post secrets' maybe you could put it on there sometime to get it off your chest. there are no names involved.. nothing can come back to you.
I often have a read of them, makes me realise that if I wrote a few of my deepest thoughts on a piece of paper and buried it then maybe things wouldn't seem so bad at times.
Maybe there's a sense of closure.
