Aldi Weekly Offers
6 Answers
Anyone who has an ALDI store (and lidl) near them will know how popular the weekly offers are and because of this how quickly they sell out.
I have just been reading a money-saving site recccomending an item which will be for sale on Thursday 2nd. August - Tomorrow! - so imagine my puzzlement to read someones comment about how good it was today. Puzzlement turned to annoyance to then read them boasting how their store (Hexham) put the "special weekly offers" on sale just as soon as they got them. No doubt this is the idea of an extremely lazy manager but if repeated throughout the country it is no wonder they appear to sell out quick.
Can anyone, please, find an e-mail address for Aldi so that I can complain strongly about this practise and also ask everyone elso to do so?.
I have printed out the comment from Martins Moneysaving tips and posted it (in a large envelope but without a stamp) to Aldi`s UK head office as I feel this sort of activity is alost illegal.

I can really understand your annoyance at their sloppy management because although the offers are great value, the time they go on sale is THE thing of importance.
We have all seen TV pictures of people queuing for days to be in at the start (Harry Potter book recently a case in point) - could you imagine the uproar if they got in to find their item sold because actually they went on sale early.

I regularly queue up for the specials in Aldi. I have asked late on the night before if there is any chance of buying something early if I've been unable to get to the store for 9am and have always been refused. I use the Penrith store and they always sell out really early but the Kendal store seems to get a bigger allocation so it's worth trying somewhere else on the off chance they have what you want. I did try and buy the memory cards a few weeks ago but arrived 10 minutes late and they'd all gone. Apparently people were buying handfuls of them.
