It's dificult to define "classic". What I might consider a classic would mean nothing to the next person.
Having said that "New Adventures in HiFi" by REM is one of my all time favourites (although most people regard "Automatic for the People" as their best album).
Mind you like whickerman I would probably choose a different one tomorrow.

The one Cd I would really want is Love is Here by Starsailor, sorry!

If I wasnt allowed that it would be Ten ~ Pearl Jam.

There's so, so many albums i truly love...stuff by The Black Keys, Bob Dylan, Stevie Wonder, Super Furry Animals!!!
But if i could only choose one, i think it would have to be The Beatles' White Album. The band that raised the benchmark of popular music, at their creative best.
