I have some unripped music on my pc that I'd like to transfer to my mp3 player. Can anyone tell me how to rip it down without starting from scratch with the original hard copy? I use WinXP pro and WinMediaPlayer10.
I use a tool called FreeRIP I got off the net somewhere. It transfers wav to mp3. Type it in Google and you should find a download. It's basic and simple to use, hope it's what you want.
Greendog, the fact you have music on your PC means it has already been 'ripped'. i.e extracted from a CD to your PC's hard-drive. The files you have may well be in the Wav format or similar.
What you probably need to do is convert the audio tracks on your hard-drive to mp3, so that they can be played on you mp3 player.
