Was suppose to be going to Barbados on holiday yesterday, but very worried about hurricanes that have and are still due to disrupt caribbean. Paid 2,000. Does anyone know how - if any - we can get some money back? Thanks. (we were insured).

Travel Agent we bought holiday from say that because there wasn't a weather warning in Barbados and the FO haven't warned against travelling there, that we are not entitled to compensation on the grounds of the hurricane. Just wondered if there was any other way to get some money back due obviously to the stress of if we did go and hurricane did come, the panic and worry that would be felt.
If there is no weather warning or FO advice then you have very little chance.
Insurance is there in case something happens - not if you (essentially) don't feel like going because of something that might not happen (and if there is no warning in place then balance of probability is that nothing will happen).
